PrintReleaf programme wins award

The Minuteman Press Printing Franchise in Lakewood, Colorado has won the 2019 Sustainability Award for its implemented PrintReleaf programme.

The Minuteman Press design, marketing, and printing franchise in Lakewood, Colorado, is being honoured at the 2019 Lakewood Sustainability Awards for its innovative and environmentally friendly PrintReleaf programme, the company said.

According to the company, launched in April 2018, the PrintReleaf initiative has been responsible for the planting of 151 trees, which offsets 1.25 million standard pages of paper. The purpose of the programme is to convert the footprint of Minuteman Press clients back into the environment.

In fact, according to the print sustainability experts at Two Sides North America, “Over the last six decades, U.S. forest area has increased by 3 percent and the net volume of trees on timberland has increased by 58 percent.”
