The United Kingdom’s business registry, Companies House, has issued a first notice to strike off Promax Imaging Limited.
Companies house issued the first “Strike Off” notice on 27 October 2020. This is normally issued when a company fails to submit statutory accounts (overdue since March 2020) or the annual confirmation statement which according to Companies House has been overdue since February 2020.
The document provides a minimum of two months’ notice of the intention to strike off the company, allowing creditors or other interested parties to object if they wish.
Once the time period stated in the first Gazette notice has expired, a second notice is issued announcing that the company has been dissolved.
It is possible for the directors and creditors to object to a strike-off, but they would need to rectify the issue. This could mean bringing the company’s accounts up-to-date, for example, or filing the necessary confirmation statements.
If they are struck off, any assets held by the company become ‘bona vacantia’ or Crown property.
Formed in February 2000, Promax Imaging was a leading producer of inkjet solutions and supported the burgeoning inkjet refilling market with filling technology, supplies, spare parts and some innovative fixes like the Promax Plug Valve which provided a solution for refilling Epson ink cartridges.
In more recent years the focus has been on utilising their inkjet expertise refilling cartridges for other vendors.
