The two companies have partnered to offer secure cheque and document printing solutions throughout the Buffalo area and New York state area.

Rapid Refill, a total print solutions provider for consumers, businesses, educators, and community organisations, has partnered with TROY Group, a leader in anti-tamper cheque and document printing solutions.

As an authorised reseller of TROY solutions, Rapid Refill will act as a preferred sales and distribution channel throughout the Buffalo area and New York state. Alongside their office printing and professional services, Rapid Refill will now offer MICR cheque printing solutions and vital record printing solutions to reduce risks to fraud.

As a manufacturer of fraud resistant toner, TROY enhances secure HP printers for use in secure printing workflows. TROY solutions are designed to make printing easy with all-inclusive solutions.

With document fraud growing at epidemic proportions, an immense amount of cheque fraud, identity theft, revenue loss, and even national security threats are occurring worldwide. Daniel Novick, Owner of Rapid Refill stated: “We are excited to bring TROY products to our customers. Many industry suppliers provide only part of the solution to fighting fraud, addressing merely a small portion. TROY solutions focus on security at both the printer and printed document levels.”

Novick continued: “We can now offer a wider breadth of solutions to our customers. Plus, TROY’s solutions are un-matched in security, reliability, and quality. They have solutions for both cheque printing and document printing, such as IDs, birth, death, and marriage certificates, that include anti-tamper toners to prevent chemical alteration of documents. Our goal is to help reduce check and document fraud at our local level up to the state contracts we serve.”

Partnering with Rapid Refill was a natural fit, mentions Myra Flynn, Channel Sales Manager for TROY. “Aligning with Rapid Refill expands our mission to help businesses and governments reduce their fraud risks. We see a lot of security gaps and printing supply companies can help us uncover those gaps. We’re pleased to expand our offering further into the New York market with a strong partner.”

TROY’s MICR cheque printing solutions reduce fraud risks by enabling full check output on blank check stock. Pre-printed cheque stock becomes a theft risk, even from internal staff, since the bank account details are already on the cheques. Now, Rapid Refill clients will be able to print their logo, business information, payee, amount, and banking and account numbers at the time of printing. Signatures, accessible only to authorised personnel, can print at that same time to help eliminate hand signing of cheques.

For government documents, the TROY Vital Records solution includes secure hardware with locking trays and a print disable feature for controlling access to security stock and print functionality. Each document is printed with the TROY Fraud Defense Toner which releases a red dye if chemical alteration is attempted. This protects sensitive data from alteration and is designed to prevent fraudulent use of documents.

“Our goal is to help our clients secure their processes starting with the printer and ending with a tamper-resistant check and document,” Novick concluded. “Partnering with TROY will help us leverage TROY’s expertise on document and check printing workflows, looking for fraud risks and ways to streamline processes.”
