Ricoh announces rebrand for PFU scanners

PFU Limited (PFU), under the direction of President and Representative Director Seiji Murakami, is rebranding its image scanners from the Fujitsu brand to the Ricoh brand, effective April 2023.

Upon completion of the company’s stock transfer on 1 September 2022, PFU joined the Ricoh Group, entering the next stage in its 60+ year history. Now, the company’s flagship scanning business is also coming under the Ricoh brand from April 2023.

Moving forward, by adding the worldwide sales channels available to the Ricoh Group to the already existing channels of PFU, there are plans to extend the distribution of these scanners to even more customers.

Affected products include the fi Series, the SP Series, and the ScanSnap Series. This change will affect the brand that appears on the machines’ screen-printed labels and the packaging logos, but the model names, specifications, and functions will remain the same as before.

The brand logo and the domain for the scanner product website are also planned to change from April 2023.
