Ricoh extends roll out of Print Management Cloud

Ricoh drives digital transformation and enables distributed workforces with Cloud Managed Print offering.

Larger businesses across Europe are set to benefit from a streamlined print infrastructure and additional workspace thanks to the removal of print servers, as part of the extended roll out of Ricoh Print Management Cloud.

Designed for enterprise organisations looking to reduce their IT burden while more easily managing their infrastructure, Ricoh Print Management Cloud can be delivered as a hosted Software as a Service (SaaS) offering or installed as an on-premise private cloud.

The solution allows all users to print to any device, regardless of network or location. At the same time, the cost and complexity associated with a traditional print environment is reduced by removing the reliance on print servers. This enables central management and can eliminate common IT helpdesk pain points, while allowing the tracking of print usage across an often-dispersed workforce.

In addition, Ricoh Print Management Cloud supports the set up of users’ own print environment on the multitenant platform, replacing existing Windows and Mac-based print infrastructure in less than ten minutes.

Widespread availability of Ricoh Print Management Cloud is a direct response to the significant demand for secure and streamlined remote printing, Ricoh said. New research from IDC reveals that 62% of survey respondents from larger organisations believe that increasing print management (and security) for home/remote workers is an important pandemic-driven measure in relation to print and document management workflow processes. When asked the main reasons for selecting a print services provider, the most cited responses from large business workforces were 1) security solutions/services, 2) IT service capability, and 3) print/IT infrastructure support.

David Mills, CEO, Ricoh Europe, said: “Today’s business leaders are acutely aware of the challenges and opportunities brought about by digital transformation. This serves to push demands such as robust security, widespread accessibility, and space saving cloud solutions further up the business agenda. Meeting these needs is essential for supporting and enabling dispersed workforces, regardless of where they are based or the hours they work.”
