Ricoh has been positioned in the Contenders Category of the ‘IDC MarketScape: European Human-First Digital Workspace Solutions 2023’ Vendor Assessment.

This IDC MarketScape assesses IT service providers with a footprint in Europe that offer digital workplace solutions and services with a focus on a human-first experience. Ricoh’s position as Contender reflects the company’s commitment to delivering innovative digital workspace solutions centred around a human-first approach.

According to IDC’s report one of Ricoh’s key strengths lies in “well-designed in-house solutions and numerous Human-First focused acquisitions”. These strategic acquisitions have enabled Ricoh to “translate its legacy in print and imaging solutions into differentiated digital workplace offering”. Ricoh’s dedication to sustainability goals and products is also a standout feature, aligning with the company’s commitment to responsible business practices.

Nicola Downing, CEO of Ricoh Europe, said: “We recognise that designing a workplace around employees empowers them to become an organisation’s greatest asset for achieving measurable and strategic growth. This recognition from IDC validates our efforts to create people-first workspaces that enhance business performance whilst driving employee engagement.”

Ricoh’s successful transition to a digital-centric business was also cited in the recent IDC MarketScape for Worldwide Print Transformation where it was named a Leader.

IDC MarketScape vendor assessment model is designed to provide an overview of the competitive fitness of ICT (information and communications technology) suppliers in a given market. The research methodology utilises a rigorous scoring methodology based on both qualitative and quantitative criteria that results in a single graphical illustration of each vendor’s position within a given market.

IDC MarketScape provides a clear framework in which the product and service offerings, capabilities and strategies, and current and future market success factors of IT and telecommunications vendors can be meaningfully compared. The framework also provides technology buyers with a 360-degree assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of current and prospective vendors.
