Ricoh Company, Ltd. has been awarded an “A” rating as part of the CDP’s annual Supplier Engagement Rating and placed on the prestigious CDP2022 Supplier Engagement Rating Leaderboard for the third year in a row.

CDP’s annual SER is designed to evaluate and spur action on corporate supply chain engagement on climate issues, based on the CDP climate change questionnaire. The CDP celebrated highest-rated companies in the Supplier Engagement Leaderboard. Ricoh is amongst the top 8% (approx. 650 companies) of the total assessed companies.

Ricoh aims to achieve a zero-carbon society by reducing GHG emissions in the entire supply chain by 40% (procurement, use, and transportation categories), compared to 2015, by 2030. This environmental target has been certified as “1.5°C targets” by the SBT Initiative (SBTi).

In addition to promoting decarbonisation initiatives within the Group, Ricoh also holds briefing sessions for suppliers to ensure that they meet the GHG reduction targets aligning with the SBTi 2°C criteria. Under the Comet Circle concept established in 1994, Ricoh has provided recycled products leveraging our 3R (reduce, reuse, recycle) technology and global collection system it has cultivated over years.

“We take great pride in our steadfast dedication to achieving ESG targets and supporting suppliers to promote environmental responsibility in their operations.” said Mikako Suzuki, Corporate Officer and Head of ESG Strategy Division, Ricoh Company, Ltd. “Ricoh recognises climate change as one of the most critical social issues and promotes energy-saving activities and renewable energy use in its own facilities. It also encourages collaboration from partners and customers to realise a zero-carbon society across the entire value chain.”
