Ricoh is celebrating once again after receiving the Keypoint Intelligence – Buyers Lab seal of approval for its Intelligent multi-function printers (MFPs).

Ricoh received the award for Ease of Use: A4 Mid-Size Workgroup based on the capabilities of its IM C series of intelligent MFPs with Smart Operation Panel.

Buyers Lab, an independent evaluator of document imaging software, hardware and services, selected Ricoh based on its work at the forefront of the evolving MFP ecosystem. This includes the delivery of updateable, configurable technologies for today’s rapidly changing business environments.

To determine which OEMs lead the market, analysts at Keypoint Intelligence conducted an in-depth study on tested Ease of Use functionality, focusing on features that directly relate to mid-size workgroup habits and environments. Key areas of evaluation included print, scan, and copy functionality, control panels, routine maintenance procedures, and feedback.

Kaitlin Shaw, Senior Editor of Printer/MFP Analysis at Keypoint Intelligence, said: “Easy-to-use MFPs are essential for the smooth functioning of any office environment. Busy workgroups don’t have time to waste when operating a device. Next to reliability, a device’s usability is the most important factor for keeping workflow moving. Ricoh stood out above other OEMs as having the most user-friendly offerings for mid-size workgroup environments.”

Harald List, Head of Marketing, MFP Department at Ricoh Europe, added: “To empower digital workplaces information must be made available to those that need it as soon as it’s required in the most secure manner. We are delighted to receive such prestigious industry recognition, which we believe reflects our ongoing innovation relating to intelligent devices and information handling.”
