by | May 9, 2022 | 0 comments

Following the success of the ethnicity affinity group, Ricoh UK launched its Gender Affinity Group Project.

The Project is a completely voluntary, employee-led group, starting on the 17 May 2022 and is open to all employees who would like to become a member.

The group will act as an open forum for employees to meet and discuss ideas and policies. Several topics will be addressed in the Gender Affinity Group, including:

  • How to tackle gender stereotypes
  • How to tackle the pay gap
  • Developing/adapting Family-friendly policies
  • Gender targets that can enhance a wider inclusion of diversity
  • Myth-busting gender misconception

The Gender Affinity Group will ensure Ricoh continues to put its people at the heart of its operations, giving members a space to express themselves and build a sense of community within the organisation.

The group will include executive sponsor Glenn Griggs, Director of Sales, to support and empower members and offer a clear line of communication and access to decision-makers within Ricoh.

Glenn Griggs, Director of Sales, Ricoh UK, said: “We are extremely excited to have the opportunity to create a space in which our people are free to speak openly about their experiences. A safe and trusting environment is the key to identifying any potential barriers to inclusion. Affinity groups are created for ALL employees, whether you are part of this community or passionate about wanting to see change happen.”
