Rise of the Super Panda Army

As compatibles and remanufactured ink cartridge and toner provider, YoYoInk, continues to evolve its business model, the company has shifted its focus toward implementing a new and improved rewards program.

YoYoInk was started by three college students over eight years ago, in 2010. As YoYoInk explains, these three college students wanted to know what it would be like to run their own business, and they already knew all too well how important printer ink was in their lives and the lives of others.

Therefore, YoYoInk was founded as a small printer ink purveyor that would focus on selling high-quality compatible and remanufactured HP, Canon, Brother, Epson, Kodak and Lexmark printer ink and toner. This business model would provide affordable ink that everyone could rely on, as the owners themselves knew just how expensive OEM printer ink could be.

Now the company has instituted a new reward program in order to grow its YoYoInk ‘community’.

Billed as “Super Panda Rewards”, the program rewards customers by incorporating a points system into each purchase that they make on the YoYoInk website. Essentially, for each dollar that is spent by a customer, a point is awarded. YoYoInk believes that implementing this rewards program will further encourage customers to seek out products specifically on the YoYoInk website, as opposed to other means.

In order to qualify for the “Super Panda Rewards”, visitors to the YoYoInk website must become a member of the “Super Panda Army”, by creating an account and becoming a member. Only once you’ve become a member, can you begin to earn points by making purchases on the YoYoInk website.

Having considered that Super Panda Rewards may take some time to catch on, YoYoInk says it has devised a 6-month email campaign that encourages customers to purchase YoYoInk products, or otherwise engage with the YoYoInk community in fun and unique ways. The company says it is confident that customers will soon see the benefits of the rewards program, which in turn will improve both traffic to the website and sales of YoYoInk products.
