SCC, the managed services provider, has fully merged its managed print operation, M2, into its core business, five years after its acquisition.
According to Computer Weekly, SCC believes “the time is right” to make the merge, which will create SCC Managed Print & Document Services.
Since its acquisition by SCC in 2014, M2 has recorded growth, assuming a position “to tap into a market for managed print services that has been experience increasing demand.” It has itself acquired various companies, including the Hobs Group’s business processing outsource division, which became M2 Managed Document Services.
Under the conditions of the merging, M2’s former CEO, John Taylor, will take up a senior leadership role in the Rigby Group, the Damien Baker becoming Managing Director of SCC Managed Print & Document Services.
SCC’s Chief Executive, James Rigby, said that the company’s acquisition of M2 “has proved hugely successful, and our shared capabilities have had a substantial impact on our overall service delivery capability.”
“Now is the right time to formally merge M2 into the SCC business as we continue to grow and evolve our combined Managed Print & Document Services,” Rigby continued. “The MPDS market has been on a convergence with IT for many years; together as one, the business is well placed to seize the opportunity these trends present.”
