Sharp Europe announced that it has entered into a partnership with TeamViewer, a remote access technology company.

The partnership will enable Sharp’s software partners to connect via TeamViewer to selected displays and support customers’ visual solutions needs through remote management.

Birgit Jackson, Commercial Director at Sharp Visual Solutions said: “Sharp is excited to partner with TeamViewer, the number one brand for remote working, enabling us to provide the best support solutions for our partners and customers. The partnership forms part of Sharp’s on-going mission to help create the workplace of the future by supporting its customers with next-generation technology.”

The technology allows full remote control of a screen including installing and uninstalling apps remotely, reviewing device configuration at a glance and exchanging files with the display as well as other remote access features which can be accessed at any time and from any connected device.

TeamViewer’s service, support and device management solutions are available for any of Sharp’s displays with an Android driven System on Chip (SoC) processor. These include the Sharp Smart Signage and BIG PAD models, including the latest displays with 4K resolution. As of now 13 Sharp displays support the TeamViewer technology.

Constantin Falcoianu, Director of Business Development/IoT at TeamViewer said: “TeamViewer is proud to be partnering with Sharp, which will enable full remote manageability of Sharp displays via the leading TeamViewer remote technology solution. This will ensure a timely support reaction while reducing downtime and cost for Sharp partners.”
