Small success against counterfeiters

Two shops were raided in India and eight counterfeit Canon cartridges were seized.

The Pioneer reported that MP Nagar police has been involved in two shop raids where officers found eight counterfeit toner cartridges to the value of about Rs 45000 ($576/ €550).

In the report, The Pioneer said that Hariram Sharma made Nagar police aware of the shops selling fake Canon cartridges. The media outlet said the shops were identified as Sai Infotech located in Shrishti Complex Zone 01 and Computer Homes located in Thaddaram Complex Zone 01.

Having received the information, the police conducted the raids and seized the counterfeit items and a case has been registered against the shopkeepers under the Copyright Act.
