Spicers issues Brexit statement

The company has responded to the ongoing turmoil surrounding Britain’s withdrawal from the European Union.

“We are unable to talk confidently about what will happen moving forward with Brexit, as the political landscape remains uncertain and subject to speculation,” the company concedes. “However, we are making sure that we are as prepared as we can be for a potential period of disruption.”

Spicers points to its multiple regional warehouses as key to its preparations, stating that the premises give the company the advantageous ability “to flex stock both in terms of quantum and range.”

The wholesaler further reassures customers that it will be entering the “uncertain period” with high stock levels, “as well as working closely with our European based suppliers to ensure suitable levels of stock are held locally.”

“This also coincides with Chinese New Year, where we have already placed larger orders for programmed delivery,” the company adds.

Spicers’ statement concludes by declaring that it is anticipating the prevailing of common sense in the New Year, “to allow ongoing cross border trading.” Despite this confidence, the company reassures its customers and clients that it is “as prepared as we can be for a period of disruption.”

Anyone with outstanding questions is encouraged to contact their Spicers Account Director, who will help to provide clarity.
