The German retail and online business is being rebranded to OfficeCentre, who purchased the business in September 2019.

New Office Centre GmbH, a member of the office supplies and equipment company, New Office Centre Beheer B.V. Group bought the German arm of Staples in September 2019. Effective 1 April, the online presence of staples.de has been moved to www.officecentre.de and the announcement on its website says that in the coming weeks retail locations will get a facelift too.

Office Centre explained: “We have been called OfficeCentre since April 2021, because we no longer belong to the Staples Group since September 2019, but have become an owner-managed company that has been successful and known in the Netherlands under the name OfficeCentre for more than 30 years.

“Our aim is to simplify your life in the modern and rapidly changing world of learning and work as your competent partner for the office, home office and school – regardless of whether you are in the office, at school, at home or on the go.”
