The company took to social media to report its success in collecting food and school supplies for a charity in Lee County, USA.

‘Back to School’ is not only a reason to have promotions and add new product lines but as Static Control reported a great reason to help less fortunate families who might not be able to afford the latest gadgets and trendy supplies.

Static Control associates took the opportunity and collected food and school supplies for Backpack Pals, a charity for low-income children in Lee County who are food insecure.

The company stated: “Thanks to our amazing employees, Static Control collected 540 lbs of food and school supplies! We are proud to help this fantastic organization focused on feeding area kids. Vice President Juan Carlos Bonell can be seen helping Backpack Pals coordinator Teresa Dew Kelly with packing the food for transport.”

In 2018, 68 percent of children in Lee County qualified for free or reduced lunches in the school system. This metric helps determine which children to help provide meals over the weekend when school lunch is not provided. Children are sent home with bags filled with food over each weekend to ensure they are not hungry.
