TD SYNNEX has received the Cisco Environmental Sustainability Specialisation for Europe.

In order to receive the Cisco Environmental Sustainability Specialisation, all TD SYNNEX European subsidiaries have passed two exams: “700-240 Sustainability Overview” and “700-245 Sustainability Practice Building”. This means that TD SYNNEX can now also offer support to DACH partners in obtaining their own Cisco Environmental Sustainability Specialisation.

The company’s national companies have also signed a declaration from Cisco, in which they commit to fulfilling their commitments in the area of sustainable IT and have appointed sustainability ambassadors to support implementation on the ground. In addition, TD SYNNEX has invested in a dedicated regional leader to drive the sustainability strategy for the Cisco business.

Jörg Richter, Sr. Business Unit Director Cisco & Networking and Sustainability Ambassador for the DACH region at TD SYNNEX: “I am very pleased that we have achieved the Cisco Environmental Sustainability Specialisation in all European countries and that I have also been personally certified for it. This is great news for our many smaller Cisco partners who are looking to accelerate their sustainable IT efforts and gain higher partner status with Cisco and benefit from it.

“We have already been able to recruit a number of partners over the last few weeks through our on-site Training courses and successfully accompany them through the certification. The goal of my team remains, as a leading distributor, to qualify many of our partners, to train sensitivity to values and standards in the area of sustainability and to do something real, tangible.”

“One of TD SYNNEX’s stated environmental goals is to embed circular economy principles into our product lifecycle management strategy and to work with stakeholders to minimize waste through repair, refurbishment and recycling. It’s very exciting to share that commitment and to now it fill with life, and we provide a transparent, ready-made and trustworthy framework for technology recycling and circular economy initiatives.

“Cisco has once again proven that they tackle new issues with great determination and align not only the product policy with sustainability, but also the Channel programmes can be customized for this, and I encourage partners to feel free to speak to me personally about specific benefits and offers!” added Richter.

Accreditation helps partners to accelerate their sustainability and circular economy actions. In addition, they receive access to the Cisco Takeback Incentive, which allows for free return of used hardware for remanufacturing, recycling or safe disposal, and up to 7% off new products at eligible stores. Additionally, this specialisation helps partners achieve Cisco Select Partner status.

TD SYNNEX partners can also benefit from Cisco’s sustainable IT programmes such as Refresh for refurbished Cisco hardware and Green Pay, a circular IT payment solution for Cisco’s sustainable technology.
