Tech Data has announced a pan-European agreement with MarketsandMarkets, a global market research firm.

This agreement enables Tech Data partners to integrate exclusive market research and consulting services into their offerings for business customers. The focus is on helping clients identify and realise revenue opportunities in emerging technology segments.

The subscription-based service provides analysis on key megatrend categories including artificial intelligence, big data, Internet of Things, connectivity, robotics, smart manufacturing and wearables. This is done via MarketsandMarkets Knowledge Store market research data cloud platform, which leverages machine learning. Tech Data partners can also access consulting services for personalized insights from industry experts and assistance in planning actions and making strategic decisions about technology investments.

“Through this agreement, partners and end customers benefit from actionable, data-driven insights. They represent an important differentiator as they help business customers make the right investments in growth technologies,” said Craig Smith, Vice President Analytics and IoT Solutions Europe at Tech Data. “Using existing market research data and targeted trend analysis from MarketsandMarkets, corporate decision makers can proactively identify opportunities and align their business model to drive non-linear growth. In doing so, they leverage Tech Data’s extensive portfolio of next-generation products and solutions.”

Tech Data partners can access reporting and consulting services covering aspects such as target market analysis, segment prioritisation, product benchmarking, acquisition management, customer opportunity identification and many other elements of market observation.

“We live in a changing world. Sustainability, digitisation, the advent of electric vehicles and many other disruptive trends are creating new revenue streams in the trillions of dollars,” commented Krishnan Chatterjee, COO of MarketsandMarkets. “In the next ten years alone, we expect 50% of the sales of all B2B companies to be transformed. With this in mind, we see the agreement between Tech Data and MarketsandMarkets as a great opportunity to help channel partners navigate these changes with actionable insights based on the integration of the market research data cloud platform Knowledge Store into their technology architecture.”
