Flexiworld Technologies files lawsuit against HP for multiple patent infringements.

Flexiworld Technologies, Inc., a specialist in wireless communication technologies, has initiated a patent infringement lawsuit against HP Inc. (HP). The suit, filed in the Southern District of Texas, accuses HP of violating patents crucial to wireless and mobile device technologies.

Flexiworld, recognised for its contributions to wireless devices like smartphones and wireless printers, holds patents that have been allegedly infringed by HP’s products, including various models of HP’s wireless printers and laptops.

The complaint details infringements on eight U.S. patents owned by Flexiworld, covering advancements in wireless printing and data transfer technologies. Flexiworld’s Founder, William Ho Chang, a prominent inventor in the tech community, and co-inventor Christina Ying Liu, have accrued over 150 U.S. patents between them, underscoring their contributions to the industry.

Flexiworld asserts that HP has been using its patented technologies in HP’s DesignJet, Envy, and OfficeJet lines without authorisation. Despite previous notices and detailed claim charts sent to HP, there has been no cessation of infringement or effort by HP to rectify the licensing issues.

This legal action highlights ongoing concerns regarding intellectual property rights and their enforcement within the tech industry. Flexiworld seeks damages, alleging HP’s actions are wilful and deliberate, and demands a jury trial to address these serious accusations.
