Toshiba Tec has published its fiscal year 2021 results slightly exceeding the forecasted net sales.
For the full year period, Toshiba tec reported net sales of ¥445.3 billion ($3.43 billion/ €3.25 billion), slightly over the forecasted ¥445 billion and ¥39.6 billion ($305 million/ €289 million) more than the same period of the previous fiscal year.
The Workspace Solutions Business Group which handles MFPs for the domestic and overseas markets, recorded net sales of ¥182.1 billion ($1.4 billion/ €1.33 billion), slightly under the originally forecasted amount but ¥23.2 billion ($179 million/ €169 million) more than in the same period of the previous fiscal year.
In 2020 and in 2021 Toshiba Tec said its Workspace Solutions Business Group was affected by huge increases in parts costs, supply chain constraints and increased shipping costs, but it did manage to turn the segment profitable.
For fiscal year 2022 Toshiba Tec forecasts net sales to be ¥450 billion ($3.47 billion/ €3.29 billion), a ¥4.7 billion ($36.2 million/ €34.3 million) increase to fiscal year 2021.
