UBEO Business Services, a managed IT services and office equipment provider, has been acquired by the private equity firm Sentinel Capital Partners.

UBEO, based in San Antonio, Texas, provides document management services and equipment to around 6,000 medium-sized businesses, as well as schools and local municipalities, according to Channel E2E. It is responsible for approximately 20,000 machines and boasts a workforce of over 225 employees. Discussing the deal, the company’s chief declared that it positions UBEO “for our next phase of profitable growth.”

“We are very proud of the reputation we have built,” said Jim Sheffield, UBEO’s President and CEO. “UBEO outperforms its competition in the service categories that our customers value most – technical capability, service quality, and on-time delivery.”

“As the largest independent dealer in Texas, UBEO is a scalable platform and ideal for consolidating its highly fragmented industry,” said Sentinel Partner Scott Perry, who praised stability and high margins. “We are very pleased to partner with a highly experienced, talented, and strongly committed management team that has a proven record of profitable growth.”
