Xerox announced the appointment of Siham Rakia as the new Managing Director for the Swiss and Austrian markets.

In her new role, Siham Rakia will be responsible for the strategic direction, business development and expansion of Xerox’s market position in the two countries.

“We are in the midst of a comprehensive transformation. My stated goal is to go beyond the traditional printer business and focus more on the areas of service and software,” said Ms. Rakia.

With more than 15 years of experience in management positions in the technology and IT industry, Siham Rakia brings a broad expertise in the areas of business management, digitalization and customer relations. Most recently, she was Managing Director of Xerox Switzerland, where she made a significant contribution to the company’s development in a hybrid working environment.

Her career includes leadership positions at well-known companies such as Microsoft, Dell and HP. At Microsoft, she led digital transformation projects for the financial sector, among others, while at Dell and HP she successfully implemented business strategies for large customers and public institutions.

“The time of 10 or 15-year plans is over. The world is changing so quickly that companies must remain flexible and continuously adapt to new challenges,” explains Ms. Rakia. “Our goal is to offer innovative solutions that meet the changing needs of our customers and enable sustainable value creation,” Ms. Rakia continued.

Siham Rakia identifies the spatial distance caused by mountainous regions as a challenge for the Austrian and Swiss markets. However, the CareAR Remote Support service tool can overcome this challenge because it was specifically developed for remote support. Customers receive quick and efficient assistance from experts through digital work instructions. The four official languages ??of Switzerland also pose a challenge for Xerox Switzerland and Austria, but this is currently being actively addressed.

Ms. Rakia holds a master’s degree in B2B marketing and in business administration and management from the Burgundy School of Business in Dijon, France.

“Translating the global corporate strategy into a local reality, with all its specific needs and conditions, is an exciting and rewarding task,” said Ms. Rakia about her new role.
