The company confirms it has tested its chips and reports its chips withstand any impact of the recent firmware update for Ricoh IM C2510 series copiers.
In January 2025, Ricoh released the latest firmware for the Ricoh IM C2510 series copiers. As a result, the following prompts appeared: [Independent-supplier print cartridge is set.], and [Undetectable] (see Figure 1), [Independent-supplier print cartridge is set.] (see Figure 2), and [?] for the K, C, M, and Y toners (see Figure 3).
Zhono said it is the first to solve the firmware upgrade issue, and normal chip supply has been restored (see Figure 4).
This upgrade applies to the Ricoh models including Ricoh IM C2510/C2010/C3510/C3010/C6010/C5510/C4510. Please contact your sales representative to discuss the replacement of the upgraded compatible chips.
The company added: “Zhono will continue to monitor OEM firmware upgrades. As soon as a firmware upgrades are released, Zhono will promptly respond to update to ensure our customers’ business remain unaffected.”
